Norec has organised and taken part at a number of events, and in research and consultation assignments in 2020. All conferences and workshops have been digital rather than physical, so they could continue despite COVID-19.

As a Centre of Competence, Norec is tasked with providing consultation and active support for project partners, involving courses and guidance. We generate our knowledge from the data we have gathered during Norec projects, but also from sister organisations who work with exchanges in other countries.

Our goal, as a Centre of Competence, is to generate knowledge from projects we have completed and to communicate with organisations that have international partnerships seeking to develop their cooperation by means of exchanges for volunteers or personnel.

Norec organises and takes part in a number of events. All conferences and workshops have been digital rather than physical, so they could continue despite COVID-19:

- Norec was named “Partner of the Month” for UN South-South Galaxy. This is a database and website describing and promoting positive examples of South-South and Triangular cooperation. It covers, in particular, organisations within the UN system and multilateral bodies, but also businesses and civil society.

- Norec organised a webinar for 100 participants from every part of Norway regarding inclusion at the workplace. The webinar comprised a panel of experts with practical and theoretical competence on diversity and inclusion.
